The State Rose Garden Werribee is part of the Werribee Precinct which is home to the Werribee Open Range Zoo, State Rose Gardens and the Werribee Park and Mansion. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous. To give you an idea of how much colour you’ll see depending on when you visit, there’s approximately 5,500 roses!!! If you’re a rose lover then you must visit the Werribee Rose Garden!!
This is a popular place for weddings and wedding photos to be taken.
When should I visit?
I suggest visiting here when the roses are in full bloom, the scents of the roses are divine. The best time to visit is October/November however you should still see the beautiful blooms until late July.
Entry Fee?
Although it’s free to visit the gardens there’s a donation box at the gate. The gardens are maintained by approximately 100 volunteers.
