Golden Beach, Victoria

Golden beach is one of many beautiful wide, white sandy beaches on the Ninety Mile Beach in Gippsland. A great place to stroll for miles whilst taking in deep breaths of the fresh sea air. With the wind blowing through your hair it’s a great place for beach lovers and photographers.

As you stroll along the picturesque white sandy beach the waves roll in from Bass Strait. A great place to be, no matter what the weather.

What a perfect place to be to witness the sunrise or after a day on the beach watch the sunset. Whatever time of day you visit I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

For swimmers its a great place to take a dip, however the area is not manned so ensure you are a competent swimmer.

Reasons to visit Golden Beach

For campers the Golden Beach is a popular destination. There are a number of free camping areas along the foreshore. If free camping is not your thing you can find a large camping ground at nearby Sea Spray which has another gorgeous beach situated along the Ninety Mile Beach.

Places to visit in the Gippsland Region and Snowy Mountains

Golden Beach was part of a 4 day lightening tour of the Gippsland Region as we visited the area for a family wedding. We totally loved our experience. There is so much to see and do. Our advice is to give yourself as much time as possible to explore this scenic part of Victoria. From pristine beaches to the scenic countryside of the Snowy Mountains, iconic McKillops Bridge, picturesque lakes at Lakes Entrance & caves at Buchan Reserve to name a few.
