Amphitheatre Falls, Noojee

July 16, 2019

The walk to the Amphitheatre Falls is not just about the destination, it’s also about the journey. To reach the Amphitheatre Falls you walk along formed tracks which in some areas have short steep hills through the Toorongo Falls Reserve. You will pass through pathways surrounded by lush green tree ferns, towering gum trees and boulders covered in bright green moss.

Above you hear the birds singing away and will see them on the tree tops. As you make your way through the Toorongo Falls Reserve you will first come to the Toorongo Falls which are great to take a selfie with from the viewing platform.

After viewing the Toorongo Falls you continue on the beautiful scenic walk to the Amphitheatre Falls. Here you will find a viewing platform which reaches out over the river to enable a better viewing point of the Amphitheatre Falls. Although these falls are not as big as the Toorongo Falls they are still worth the visit if not for the falls but for the gorgeous scenic loop track through the reserve.

Many climb off the track to the top of the falls where you will find serenity, just the sound of the falling water and the birds singing away. It is picturesque. A photographers haven.
