Driving from Cowes to the Nobbies we stopped off at Cat Bay also known as Shelly Beach. Here we found a large carpark from which you reach the gorgeous beach via a large set of stairs. We had a lovely walk along the sandy beach. Whilst there were no surfers on our visit, Cat Bay is a popular beach for surfers of all levels to enjoy. It is not recommended to swim here.
There are awesome views of Cat Bay from the cliff top. You are bound to see the Cape Barren Geese waddling long the cliffs. Note Dogs are not allowed.
