Mornington Beach, Mornington, Victoria, Australia

April 15, 2021

Situated along the Mornington Peninsula are the popular Mornington Beaches, you can visit either Mothers Beach or Shire Hill Beach which is at the eastern end. The beaches are situated side by side. Both are lovely small, sandy beaches with some rocks which are often being clambered over. From the sandy shores you can look across to the Mornington Pier and watch the numerous yachts and fishing boats bobbing up and down on the water. With the brightly coloured beach huts lining the Shire Hill beach making it a photographers destination.

Mornington is a very popular destination for both locals and tourists to enjoy. There are hillside walks which provide fantastic views down onto the Mornington Beach and the Mornington Pier. Mornington has always been a favourite place of mine to visit. Being bought up on the Mornington Peninsula it’s a place I have spent many a summers and winters day. Regardless of the weather I love visiting here. On this occasion is was a cold, windy and rainy day. As you can see from the number of foot prints in the sand even on a cold day it’s a popular destination. If you visit here on a sunny day the views of the Port Phillip Bay are absolutely gorgeous, with the bay glistening gorgeous blue colours in the sunshine and making it a photographers dream.
