Our visit to Phillip Island involved hours exploring the gorgeous beaches and Nobbies lookout. We discovered Conservation Hill & Rhyll Inlet which is a place for hikers and bird watchers to explore. There is a 4.5km return, 2hr walk which takes you on a beautiful walk through the coastal area of Rhyll. For those looking for a longer walk you can continue your walk into Rhyll which is another 2km. If you are looking for a shorter walk there is a 500m return walk to a lookout, unfortunately on our visit the lookout was closed. There are seats dotted along the track for those wanting to take in the serenity. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted.
The graveled path way leads you to the picturesque board walk. As you walk along there are information boards providing information on the wildlife that inhabit the area. It’s a great place for all ages to explore and learn about nature. The area is also a great place for photographers.

Our Experience
We loved walking along the track where wallabies could be seen nearby and on occasions crossed our path. Being wildlife lovers this was a lovely sight to see. The coastal track leads you onto a boardwalk where you are surrounded by mangroves. The coastal birds darting amongst them. I loved seeing the bracken along the way, it bought back memories of when I was a kid and used bracken to ease my mosquito bites.
