We discovered this amazing campground in the Yarra State Forest as we were heading to the Ada Tree which is Victoria’s oldest known tree. We instantly liked the area. There are designated camping areas for both caravans/camper vans or tents. The designated areas are of all different shapes and sizes and there are more spots for tents compared to caravans/camper vans.
The area is gorgeous. You are surrounded by Mountain Ash Trees which reach high up to the sky. You feel seclusion in a couple of the camp sites. There is so much beauty surrounding the campground. A place where you can get lost in nature as you breathe in the fresh air. If you enjoy hiking you will fall in love with this forest.
Fires are permitted in the fire pits provided as long as there are no fire restrictions in place.
If you are not looking for a campground to stay the night this is a great place to stop for a family picnic. There are drop down toilets situated in close proximate to the picnic tables.
